HVAC Notice

The Berthoud Community Library’s HVAC system is failing and needs to be reengineered before it can be replaced. Our building temperatures are fluctuating significantly, and so we’ve put the following protocol into place until the replacement system is installed:

Expect most afternoon and evening library events to be located at different nonprofits and businesses in the community. Be sure to check the event listings for the location.

If the National Weather Service predicts a high temperature of 94 degrees or higher, we will reduce the number of staff members in the building at 4:00 PM.

If the National Weather Service predicts a high temperature of 97 degrees or higher, we will close the library at 4:00 PM.

Our goal is to continue to provide library services as much as possible while protecting the health and safety of library staff members. We also want this to be as consistent and predictable as possible for both our community members and our staff members. Thank you for your understanding (and come visit us in the mornings).
