This book was surprisingly gripping. I enjoyed the flashbacks to the character's life before Area X, and the descriptions of all the cosmic stuff. I felt right inside the main character's head.

It's been a long time (Harry Potter) since a book has grabbed hold of me like this and not let go. It feels like the perfect modern fantasy; knights, queens, castles, time travel, and more. Loved it.
